The Type 2 T1, also known as the Split Screen or Splitty, is the first generation of the Volkswagen Transporter series. It was produced from 1950 to 1967. The T1 featured a split front windshield, hence its nickname, and a rounded body shape. It had a rear engine layout and came in various body styles such as vans, microbuses, and pickups.
