Collectors have already been treated to the 1:76 scale version of the Commer Commando as used by a variety of aircraft operators, including British European Airways (BEA) who used the unusually shaped vehicle for transporting their passengers between city centre air terminals and the airport. Now, for N scale enthusiasts, we are pleased to introduce an exact replica of its large counterpart especially for you. Decorated in two-tone grey with maroon and white lettering, the interior relieves the sombre appearance with bright blue panels and dark red seats. Registered TMG 114, the BEA lettering and winged logo is printed on the front and sides of the vehicle while the back with replica double doors is left completely free of decoration. Despite its simplicity, the model reminds us of an exciting age in passenger air transport and unknown overseas holiday destinations, which were often beyond the means of most ordinary people.
